GENERAL WARRANTY TERMS 

(GWT)

1. Scope of the Warranty

Under these Warranty Terms, Aquama Holding SA’s liability is strictly limited to the repair and/or replacement of machines or parts deemed defective. Loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by the machines is not covered.

Aquama Holding SA reserves the right to charge additional fees or refuse any maintenance of machines, parts or accessories installed in inaccessible or hazardous locations for its technical personnel.

If a part is no longer available, Aquama Holding SA will use its best efforts, taking into account local and international (geopolitical, economic) circumstances, to replace it with an equivalent, functional spare part, either new or refurbished, as quickly as reasonably possible.

This warranty applies only when the machine has been used in accordance with the specifications in the technical datasheet and Aquama Holding SA’s technical guidelines.

It covers:

  1. repair or replacement (at Aquama Holding SA’s discretion) of any machine under warranty that is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship;
  2. replacement of wear parts for the periods specified below:
    • aquama® reactors
    • internal softener
    • brine tank
    • product tank
    • internal piping
    • electronic and electrical components
    • filling nozzle
    • numeric level sensors (external to the tank)
    • solenoid valves
    • salt pump

2. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  1. serial number altered, removed, unreadable or not communicated;
  2. machine moved or transported without supervision of an authorized Aquama technician or representative;
  3. installation or use not in compliance with Aquama Holding SA’s instructions or without authorized supervision;
  4. failure to comply with the datasheet or user manual; installation on an uneven surface or tilting of the machine;
  5. use outside specifications, dropping, accident, abusive use or repurposing;
  6. repair, modification or disassembly by unauthorized third parties or without Aquama Holding SA’s prior written approval;
  7. opening of the machine by any unauthorized person, except under Aquama Holding SA’s express instruction and in the presence of an Aquama technician during a scheduled telephone or video call assistance session;
  8. storage in unsuitable or unprotected locations (humidity, risk of freezing, temperatures above 40 °C / 104 °F, lack of ventilation, exposure to rain or direct sunlight, etc.);
  9. faults caused by abnormal voltage, electrical surges, use of generators or lightning strikes;
  10. faults caused by external plumbing work affecting water pressure without appropriate adaptation or preemptive shut-off, or due to other circumstances causing anomalies in the water pressure or supply to the machine;
  11. faults due to fire or natural disasters, or failure to follow installation, use or maintenance guidelines;
  12. damage caused by pests or animals;
  13. defects resulting from chemical reactions, excessive heat, dust, or corrosive or aggressive environments;
  14. use of non-original or non-recommended spare parts;
  15. insertion of salt not recommended or not supplied by Aquama Holding SA or without written authorization;
  16. insertion into the machine of any product or solution other than the authorized salt;
  17. use of third-party software to modify or adapt the machine’s system, including any manual attempt to alter the machine’s internal IT system;
  18. modification of network parameters or reconfiguration (e.g. WiFi settings);
  19. attempt to remove any internal electrical component that disrupts proper functioning or data transmission to Aquama Holding SA;
  20. faults due to negligence, abuse, accident, incorrect handling or transport;
  21. faults caused by malicious acts or vandalism;
  22. use of parts or spares purchased abroad or from unauthorized suppliers.

Components Not Covered by This Warranty:

  • machine exterior panels
  • aquama® front LED indicator lights
  • parts subject to normal and expected wear from daily use (surface damage, scratches, dents, or damage to plastic elements such as hoses, connectors, plugs, external fittings)
  • wheels
  • external piping
  • filters
  • power cord
  • White filling gun
  • Pumps

3. Warranty Conditions

Before any warranty work is performed, the client must present the original purchase invoice (i.e. proof of first purchase of the new product by the end customer).

If such proof is not provided, all work will be charged. It is therefore strongly recommended to keep invoices and/or delivery slips for the entire warranty period.

Warranty repairs must be carried out exclusively by Aquama Holding SA’s authorized technicians or representatives.

Neither warranty repairs nor replacements extend the original warranty period. Repaired or replaced items may include new and/or refurbished components.

4. Warranty Validity

The warranty period begins on the date of the first sale of the new product by a reseller to the end customer or, in certain exceptional cases, on the date of delivery by Aquama Holding SA (DDP, DAP), whichever occurs first.

The standard warranty period is two (2) years, except for certain wear parts (see §1.2) or unless otherwise stated on the purchase order.

These warranty terms and conditions may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the company. Any modification shall take effect upon publication on the official website or through any other communication channel used by the company. Customers are encouraged to regularly review the applicable terms. However, such modifications shall not affect any rights that are mandatory and non-waivable under applicable law.

The warranty covers hardware onlyTravel and labor will be quoted separately.

5. Limitation of Liability

Aquama Holding SA’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Aquama Holding SA cannot be held liable for loss of any element or datamaterial damagedowntimeloaned or rented machinestravel costsloss of profit or any other indirect or consequential damages.
