How does aquama® promote the circular economy?

How does aquama® promote circular economy?

Today, 90 billion tonnes of raw materials are consumed worldwide each year (i.e. 45 kg per day per person, OECD source). And that figure is expected to reach 167 billion in 40 years if we don't change our habits quickly. The concept of circular economy emerged as a result of a general awareness: our resources are limited and it is necessary to save them. At aquama®, we decided to integrate the circular economy into our model, in line with our eco-responsible approach.

What is the circular economy?

The circular economy aims to reduce the negative impact of human activity on the environment and health, by producing goods and services in a sustainable manner. It is about rethinking our production and consumption patterns, in order to limit the wastage of natural resources and the production of waste.

This economic model is opposed to the linear model (we make, we consume and then we throw away), which gradually depletes our natural resources. For example, only 1 in 10 end-of-life goods is re-used or sold in France each year (source ADEME). Another figure: 80% of manufactured products are thrown away in the first 6 months of their life (source Agoria, 2017).

The aquama® model

A 100% biodegradable solution, with no impact on the environment.

Our solutions and services have been designed with the aim of reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible. This is why we have developed a 100% biodegradable cleaning solution (based on water, salt and electricity), which produces very little waste. This solution remains active for up to 7 days (reactivatable up to 3 times) if it is produced by a Freedom® Pure and 6 months with a Falcon R®. In addition, its production is on site (or at home for individuals) which requires neither logistics nor storage. Finally, it replaces up to 90% of cleaning products, thus providing an alternative to the thousands of liters of chemicals.

Repair and recycling is at the heart of the aquama® model

The life cycle of our machines is extended by the need for repair. Our Falcon R® is under warranty for the duration of the rental contract. The latter also provides for preventive maintenance every year.

At aquama®, we also place recycling at the heart of our priorities: our cleaning solution is also packaged in reusable sprays. In addition, our used Freedom® Pure will be taken back for any purchase of a new device. The cardboard packaging is also fully recyclable.

How to become a distributor of aquama® solution

The aquama® model encourages professional customers, if they wish, to pool their machine. The idea? Make the solution available to their employees, their service providers and / or the general public. This is already the case for several of our clients, such as Boccard, Saint Jean de Passy and the CCI Lyon Métropole Saint-Etienne Roanne. Employees can thus recharge the desired volume from the self-service machine, thanks to the aquama® application.

This system allows both the company to amortize the costs of the machine but also its employees to benefit from the efficiency of the aquama® solution at home.

This collaborative economy model aims to optimize the use of the machine and consume less resources by reducing logistics (production on site, use of a single machine for several users, no transport). Our client thus becomes a sort of solution distributor.
